Rain is the oldest drummer. It never plays the same pattern twice, yet it is always in time.
A small experiment: record the rain on a tiled roof for an hour, then try to find the melody hidden inside it.
Rain is the oldest drummer. It never plays the same pattern twice, yet somehow it is always in time. Slowed down, the recording revealed low, almost vocal tones in the gutters, and those tones suggested the first notes of a folk melody.
Not every experiment becomes a song. This one might. Or it might simply stay a recording of a good evening, which is also enough.
